Animorphs

Animorphs is a hard-to-find book series about kids that get powers to transform into any animal and they battle mind controlling alien slugs. (Did I mention that the slugs [Yeerks] have enslaved over half of the human race and have the other half in cages?) The species/names in the book are: Yeerks, Hork-Bajar, Antalites, and, of course, us Homo Sapiens. In the end, the good guys win (and the high-tech Antalites trade their technology for doughnuts [literally!]) after a long battle.
