My Father’s Dragon is about a boy named Elmer and a Dragon he learned about from a stray talking cat. The dragon was on an island, being forced to work as ferry across a river. Elmer rescues him and the dragon flies Elmer to his home. Then Elmer rescues the dragon’s family from explorers who are trying to capture the dragons and put them into zoos. This book is great for young readers who love fantasies.
